An acceptable soccer video game with great graphics

Out of all the sports that have been turned into video games, soccer continues to be one of the most popular out of them. The overwhelming success of soccer games like FIFA Soccer and Pro Evolution Soccer is a testament to its popularity, so it’s no surprise that these kinds of games are a dime a dozen. The Dream League Soccer 2019 series is another entry to the long list of soccer games. Although it has graphics and animation that can rival triple-A games like original console FIFA games, is it good enough to really be a competent alternative against them?

Animation, Aesthetic, and Design

If there is one thing that can be praised without a doubt about Dream League Soccer 2019, it’s the fact that it looks really good. The graphics and animation of this game are very polished. The game is rendered in a realistic style, and the soccer players all have realistic proportions. The background may be a bit too simple, but that’s a small sacrifice to pay to get those detailed character designs and fluid animation.

What’s great about Dream League Soccer 2019 is that it’s not just the graphics that are realistic. The gameplay also has a high focus on realism. Both the animation and the AI actions and movements are very lifelike. As a result, playing the game feels almost like watching a real game rather than playing a virtual one.

Though the amazing 3D graphics are undoubtedly the star of the show in Dream League Soccer 2019, there are several key features that take Dream League Soccer 2019 to the next level. In the game, players will be able to build a stadium of their own where they can play matches with their superstars. It also wouldn’t be true to the name “Dream League” if you can’t build one of your own, and thankfully, that feature is present in this game. In fact, being able to build your dream team is one of the most enjoyable aspects of the game.

Players who are worried about a short playing time need not worry because Dream League Soccer 2019 has over 7 Cup competitions and 6 Divisions in total for the player to run through. Players are also afforded more customization freedom with their soccer superstars are they can train and develop them with more focus and accuracy. For even more customization fun, players can also use customized logos and kits that they made themselves. 

As a fun little side trivia, Dream League Soccer 2019 has a pretty great soundtrack featuring artists like The Luka State, Sunset Sons, Only the Poets, and more. 

Good Game Overall

There’s very little to say against Dream League Soccer 2019. It has solid graphics and animation, and gameplay that’s acceptable if nothing spectacular. Obviously, Dream League Soccer 2019 lacks the complexity and refinement of the FIFA game series, but that doesn’t mean it lacks merit or charm. If you’re a massive soccer video game fan, this is still a great time waster if you can’t fire up your go-to triple-A game. If you’re a newbie to soccer video games, this might be a good, simple one to start with.
